KOR YOGA   

 

 Yoga is an integrated practice which brings about a balance of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of self.

                                                                                                                

With a regular Yoga practice one can improve the body's physical health and purify the mind. Yoga has many health benefits which are both preventative and therapeutic.

 

CLASS

This is a flow yoga class, with a power feel. You will heat up the entire body moving in a series of hatha yoga postures, opening and compressing every cell and system in the body. It’s a moving meditation, cleansing of the stresses of life that accumulate in us. 

Prepare to sweat, wear comfortable clothing, you will feel great!

 

Be well hydrated and bring a large towel for your yoga mat.

 

MELANIE LOURENCO- TEACHER

Melanie is a Bikram Yoga certified instructor, teaching since 2007 and a student for much longer. She loves yoga because it is a multi-layered experience, working our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves through movement and breath work; one that opens us to the beauty of ourselves and all of it. 

Outside of yoga, Melanie is a visual artist and bike lover.

  • Wear clean, comfortable, but snug fitting clothing.
  • Refrain from using scented body lotions  or perfumes.
  • Wait at least two hours after meal and one hour after light snack before practicing. Water can be taken anytime.
  • Please advise the instructor before the class of any injuries or special needs you may have. The instructor must know if you are pregnant.
  • Please turn off your cell phones in class.
  • Put all your belongings in the change room.
  • Students bring your own towel and mat.
  • If you must leave early, then leave before the class is in final relaxation.
  • Feel free to perform your yoga at your own pace and listen carefully to your body as you progress.

 

The Yoga Studio is available to rent.

If you are interested in offering a workshop or course, please check out our schedule and email us with your ideas.  We are interested in working with holistic health practitioners, meditation and yoga teachers.  We would also be interested in renting the space for groups promoting environmental awareness and healthy local community development.
